Samsung might be making a 18.4 inch tablet!

Is there such thing as too big for a tablet?? The general tablet industry generally thinks that people want two sizes ones around 7 inches and others about 10 inches across. As with their phabets Samsung apparently wants to push the boundaries in the tablet marke, according to a report from SamMobile, the company is currently working on an Android tablet with an 18.4-inch display. The device is reportedly codenamed "Tahoe". There are currently no details about when the device might be unveiled, SamMobile claims it is running Android 5.1 Lollipop and features a TFT LCD display which outputs a 1920 x 1080 resolution, under the hood it will be powered by a 1.6 GHz processor, will have 2GB of RAM and  32GB of internal storage (wonder if it will follow Samsung's trend of no expandable memory slot?), The 'UberPad' will also have rear and front facing cameras which are reported to be 8 megapixels and 2.1 megapixels, respectively - I would hope that the cameras will be a bit better than that and at least echo the camera hardware that can be found in the Note 5.

Samsung wouldn't be the first manufacturer to produce an 'UberPad', Panasonic have produced a 20 inch pad but it seems devices of this size aren't really target toward the mainstream instead they have targeted it as a tool for salespeople who need a mobile presentation screen and Samsung's device might lend itself to this market category as well and also if they do use Android it could it would suggest that it would lend itself better to the entertainment category. It will be interesting to see if Samsung can persuade the mainstream that bigger is better...again.
