Sony LinkBuds Fit - The Most Comfortable Earbuds Yet!? A Review by WhatGear

Sony is back with a brand new set of earbuds, the LinkBuds Fit. As the name suggests, Sony has focused on the fit of these earbuds, but has that come at the expense of other features?

Design and Comfort

The LinkBuds Fit are designed to be as light and comfortable as possible. They weigh just 4.1g per bud and have an IPX4 water- and sweat-resistant rating. Sony has also included a new feature called "Air Fitting Supporters" which help to keep the earbuds securely in your ears. The LinkBuds Fit come in four colors: black, green, white, and violet. You can also buy replacement Air Fitting Supporters in different colors to customize the look of your earbuds.

Sound Quality

The LinkBuds Fit have surprisingly good sound quality for their size. They have a wide soundstage and clear, detailed audio. The bass is also surprisingly powerful. Overall, the sound quality is very close to that of the more expensive WF-1000XM5s.

Noise Cancellation

The LinkBuds Fit have good noise cancellation, but it's not as good as the WF-1000XM5s. They do a good job of blocking out low-frequency noise, but some high-frequency noise can still get through.

Ambient Passthrough Mode

The LinkBuds Fit have a good ambient passthrough mode that lets you hear your surroundings. This is useful if you need to be aware of your surroundings, such as when you're walking on a busy street.

Software

The LinkBuds Fit use the new Sony Sound Connect app. This app has a number of features, including adaptive sound support, EQ options, 360 reality audio support, and Sony's DSEE Extreme upscaling software.

Controls

The LinkBuds Fit have a number of unique control options. You can tap the back of the earbuds to play/pause music or activate your AI assistant. You can also tap near your ear to control the earbuds. Finally, you can answer calls by nodding your head and cancel calls by shaking your head.

Microphone Quality

The microphone quality on the LinkBuds Fit is good. It's clear and easy to hear, even in noisy environments.

Pros and Cons

Pros: * Comfortable and secure fit * Good sound quality * Good noise cancellation * Good ambient passthrough mode * Unique control options

Cons: * Case is a bit thick * Case doesn't support Qi wireless charging

Overall

The Sony LinkBuds Fit are a great pair of all-around earbuds. They're comfortable, sound great, and have a number of useful features. They're a great option for anyone looking for a stylish and functional pair of earbuds.
